Norene Hope Asplind
March 28, 1927 – May 8, 2017

Norene passed away quietly on May 8th at Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK with her loving family at her side. She was born in Melfort and raised on the farm in Pathlow until moving to Prince Albert in the early 50’s. She worked with the DNR until her marriage to Walter Asplind in 1956. She is survived by her son: Greg (Sheila) Ambler; and daughters: Jan Asplind and Sheila (Rod) Small. She is loved and missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Melanie (Mike), Mitchell, Brooklyn; Twyla (Jay) Bailey, Abbey; Kristen (Les), Breanne, Tyler, Nick; Lindsey; Jason (Kim), Kaden, Odinn; Rikki (Bernie), Erik, Anothony; Ryan (Jodi) Maielle, Zack; and Tynan (Kaytlin), Randi. Extended family: Mike, Autumn, Julie, Ashley (Ali), Monique and Nicholas. Norene was an extremely caring humorous person and loved all her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Norene was predeceased by her parents: Norman and Madge Ambler; husband: Walter Asplind; and sisters: Vera (Josh) Storey and Daisy (Tom) Hulme; grandson: Keenan Small; as well as several of Walters family.
