At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Thursday May 11,2017 of John Arthur Smith of Alberton, age 77 years. Born at Alberton, on November 18, 1939 he was the son of the late G. Alton (Mack) and Miriam M. (nee Cunningham) Smith. He is survivied by a brother James Alfred Smith of Alberton and by his many cousin and friends. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel Alberton for visiting hours Friday 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday morning from the Sacred Heart Church Alberton for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Rev. Tim Broderick Celebrant. Interment in the Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated. Rev.Phelan McKenna council # 8333 of the Knights of Colombus will hold a prayer service for their departed member, Friday evening at 6:45 p.m.
