Ross Ivan Tucker

Tucker, Ross Ivan – April 24, 1967 – May 13, 2017, son of Lila (Harris) Tucker, Tatamagouche and the late Harry J. Tucker passed away May 13, 2017 in an ATV accident. He leaves behind, his wife, Carmelita (Mingo) and daughter, Lindsay; Mother, Lila; sisters, Mary (Doug) Keats, Jean (Stewart) Snook; brothers, David (Heather), Earl (Diane) and Dale (April); his Mingo family, sister-in-law, Camille Fowler; brothers-in-law, Tony, Terry (Jackie) and Chum; step mother-in-law, Joanie Mingo and her daughters, Nancy Dalrymple (Brian) and Daphne Goodine; many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his uncle, Ikey Harris; father and mother-in-law, Bob and Marie Mingo; brother-in-law, Travis Mingo. Ross loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, driving his Harley and his 1966 Chevy “Old Blue”. He loved playing cribbage, card games and spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing Bingo and going to Chase the Ace at the Legion in Tatamagouche. He also loved going camping at Hidden Hilltop with his close friends, he especially loved his special dog, “Riggs” and going to the Tatamagouche Farmers’ Market. He was a very hard worker and worked in the oilfields for 30 years in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Northern B.C., Ontario, New Brunswick and also taught at the Atlantic Petroleum Training College from 2003 to 2004 and from Aug. 2010 to Feb. 2016 he worked in Oman, and from May 2016 to Dec. 2016 he worked at Millers during the downturn in the oilfields. He was a big kid at heart, was very kind and giving and there was nothing he wouldn’t do to help anyone out, loved picnics and playing with his niece’s and nephew’s children, loved to tease and a good game of chance as he was very lucky. He enjoyed operating his new business, Tucker’s Tractor with “No Job is too Small” as his motto. . Ross will very sadly missed by his many close and dear friends and family. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 17 in Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche with funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday in Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche. Interment will be in Tatamagouche Mountain Cemetery with reception to be in Royal Canadian Legion in Tatamagouche. Family flowers only.
