(Verdon) Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital, Bell Island, on April 10, 2008, in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her husband Bernard and daughter Margaret. Left to mourn with loving memories are her children Kevin (Diane), Shirley Stoyles, Leo (Beverly), Bill (Kay), Gordon (Marilyn), Bernard (Cynthia), Gerald (Joslyn), Laura Parsons (Wayne), Jean Peddle (Wayne), Joan Murphy, Pamela Okafo (Ben), Sheila Sweeney (Robert); one sister Gladys Hearn; thirty-four grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren, as well as two special nieces Eileen Pendergast and Shirley Littlejohn. Resting at Pendergast's Funeral Home on Saturday, April 12, 2008 and Sunday April 13, 2008 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, April 14, 2008 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael's Church. Interment to follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bell Island.
