It is with great sadness that the family of the late William "Bill" Haley announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. L.A. Miller Center on Sunday, April 13, 2008. Bill Haley aged 57 years. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife: Dorothy (nee Evans); daughters: Jane (residing in Calgary, Alta.) and Ruth; sisters: Ruby (Clarence) Howse of Happy Adventure, Beverly Barbour (Ed); special friends Clayton Murphy and Iris Stacey. Bill will also be remembered by many nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of the Leonard A. Miller Palliative Care Unit and to the management and staff at the St. John's Transportation Commission. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 11 a.m. from Barrett's Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. No flowers by request. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Bill's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Dr. H.
