(Mamie-Oates) February 26, 1942 - April 13, 2008. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister and dear friend on Sunday, April 13, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born in Fermeuse, NL, the second child of the late Robert and Rita (Coady) Oates. Predeceased by her husband Ed in December 2001. Leaving to mourn one son, Robert Lerner, Alaska; two daughters: Debbie (Larry) Gill, Tulsa and Mariann (Scott) Fitch, California; four grandchildren, who she adored: Lance and Austin Gill, Tulsa, Bristol and Chase Lerner, Alaska; one brother, Eugene (Maureen) Oates, Goulds; two sisters: Irene (Wayne) Chaytor, Topsail, Marion (Mark) Clemens-Fitzpatrick, St. John's; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins of the Coady and Oates families. At her request cremation has taken place. A service is being planned to be held in Fermeuse at a later date.
