Victor Reuben Squires

(October 4, 1953 - April 18, 2008) Passed peacefully away in the arms of his family at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre after a 21/2 year battle with cancer. He is predeceased by his father William; grandparents: Fred and Virtue; brothers: Private Wayne and Kenneth. Left to mourn and cherish his memory are his precious mother Phyllis; devoted sisters: Glenda Winter (Mark), Jean Hancock (Terry), Carole Gosse (Cliff), Canon Shirley Gosse (Charlie); his loving brothers: Allan (Joanie), Carl (Cathie), Charlie (Carolanne); foster brother, George Tilley; numerous nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. Also leaving to mourn Dorothy Purcell, her daughter Amy Tucker and Amy's twin daughters Morgan and Taylor, Vic's "two little beauties", he adored them all. Also special friend Ruth Halliday, Mom's buddy. Also left with wonderful memories are his Godson Vic Jr. in Ontario and his father Ted; dear friends: Dave, Gilbert, Rich, Cyril, Anthony, Kenny and Don and their families. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to take place from St. Philip's Anglican Church on Monday, April 21, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to take place at St. Philip's Anglican Cemetery on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at 2:00. Flowers gratefully accepted from family and close friends only or donations may be made to St. Philip's Anglican Church Building Fund.
