(Born in St. John's, NL, 1917) Passed away in his 91styear. Dear son of Caroline Kirby and Thomas Parsons. Orphaned at an early age. Raised by his grandparents Julie and Steven Kirby. He attended Bond Street and St. Patrick's Hall schools, Bill was very musically inclined and played in the CLB Band for 17 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Doris Lawrence, nephews Lindsay (Dianne), Brian (Zetta), Gordon (Tricia); grandnephews Brandon, and Jonathan; Grand-nieces Allison, Jessica, Blair, and Kattie, cousins Phillis and Max Kirby who were Bill's life line and also a large extended family. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, April 21, 2008 from 7- 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 12 - 2 p.m. Funeral service to be held from Barrett's Chapel on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
