John F. Anderson

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, April 26, 2008, John W. F. Anderson of Harbour Grace, age 83 years; a sixty-year member of the Orange Lodge and Royal Black Preceptory. Predeceased by wife: Myrtle, son-in-law: Eric Chubbs, parents: Frederick and Winnifred and sister: Martha Crewe. Leaving to mourn five daughters: Marie Chubbs, Carbonear, Linda (Wayne) Somerville, Ajax, ON, Iris (Roland) Carter, Harbour Grace, Joanne (William) Haire, Ajax, ON and Janine (Brian) Smith, Ottawa, ON; six sons: Jim (Johanna), Ottawa, ON, Douglas (Peggy), Grand Falls-Windsor, Leeland (Eileen), Carbonear, John (Bride), Harbour Grace, Terry (Lisa), Carbonear and Elvis (Zoe), Harbour Grace; twenty grandchildren: Peter (Elizabeth), Adam, Corey, Daniel, Andrew, Matthew, Kevin, Dustin, Erica, Michael (Brenda), Ronny, Andy, Jill, Colin, Alicia, Eilanda, Justin, Sara, Taylor and Logan; two great-grandchildren: Cody and Kayla; five sisters: Bessie (Albert) Parsons, LeHave, N.S., Carrie Crewe, Sandyville, Melita (Wesley) Rose and Kathleen (Jordan) Hollett, both of Hermitage and Grace (Gerald) Combden, Stephenville, three brothers: Hubert (Ida), Lunenburg, N.S., Leonard (Clara) and Llewellyn (Marlene), both of Hermitage; sisters-in-law: Ethel (Freeman) Burton, Harbour Grace and Iris Dicks, Halifax, N.S.; brother-in-law: James (Marie) Dicks, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, HARVEY STREET, HARBOUR GRACE after 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 27. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, April 29 at 2 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church Restoration Fund, Harbour Grace or St. Saviour's Anglican Church, Hermitage.
