Gordon Payne Williams
born September 26, 1914, St. John's, Newfoundland, passed away April 23, 2008 at the Kelowna General Hospital, British Columbia at the age of 93. Survived by three daughters: Barbara Purdy of High River, Alberta; Elizabeth Corrigan of Kelowna, BC and Norma Downing of Calgary, Alberta. Also survived by eight grandchildren Caroline (Carey) Bracko, Kellie Anne (Ryan) Cartwright, Rob (Julia) Purdy, Brad Purdy, Shannon Selmser, Tim (Laura) Corrigan, Jennifer Downing, Julie Downing, Allister Mills, Jeff (Kristen) Downing and twelve great-grandchildren: Kelsey, Kayla, Connor, Cole, Lindsay, Riley, Spencer, Jessica, Julia, Chase, Colton and Lincoln and his long time feline companion Mr. Tibbs. Predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years Alice who passed away on April 23, 1991; brother Walter; sister Phyllis. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 11th at St. George's Anglican Church, 3690 Brown Road, Westbank. Reverend Ken Watts officiating. Cremation.
