Passed peacefully way at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, Sandy C. Butt, long-time fisherman of Carbonear, age 88 years. Predeceased by parents Arthur and Phoebe, brother William H. (Nellie). Leaving to mourn wife Edna M. of 62 years; one daughter Sandra (Ron) Hobbs, Debden, SK; one son Jackson (Debbie), Carbonear; two cherished grandchildren: Cheryl and Sarah; brother-in-law Herbert Penney, Salmon Cove; sisters-in-law Marjorie Penney, Salmon Cove; Lillian Penney, Toronto, ON and Florence Penney, Massachusetts, USA; cousins Jean (Gordon) Wells, St. John's; Grace Huffman, Massachusetts, USA and Audrey Slade, Brampton, ON; also a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at NOEL'S FUNERAL HOME, WATER STREET, CARBONEAR with visitation hours by request of the family on Thursday, May 1 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Friday, May 2 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. from Bethany United Church, Carbonear.
