Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Monday, May 5, 2008, aged 80 years old. Predeceased by his parents Shannon and Kathleen (Fraser), sister Margaret, in-laws: Jack and Mercedes Field, Ralph, Hubert and Hal Field, Alice Knight and Madge Yeo. Leaving to mourn his devoted and loving wife Rose (Field); and children: Sharon Clift, Tom (Carol), Vickie Fardy (Gerard), Colleen Rogers (friend Jim), Ken (Ellie) and John (Christine); grandchildren: Sherry Brothers (Brian), Shawn Grace (Neva), Marcel, Hayley and Andrew Clift, Liam (Brittany), Colin and Neil Fardy, Kyle Elizabeth and Steven Rogers, Robert and Justin Clift; great-grandchildren: Abbey and Alex Brothers, Mark Kenny; siblings: Thomas (Alice), Patricia Chidley (Walt), Frank (Joan); in-laws: Mary Elliott, Joan Field, Ron Field (Laura), Charlie Knight and Doris Field and very dear friends of Chapel's Cove, Maplewood Place and special friends: Bernard and Geraldine Hawco. John was a former partner of T.B. Clift Ltd. and Clift Dental Supplies and was a long time member of the R.C.A.F. Association. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday from 10-12 noon, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa's R.C.
