Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, age 67 years. Predeceased by parents, Thomas and Sarah Owens and nine brothers and sisters. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife of 42 years, Ruby (nee Anstey); two daughters: Michele (Rodney) and Kim (Perry); son Paul (Michelle); four treasured grandsons: Christopher, Jeremy, Ryan and Colin and three step-grandchildren: Brittany, Andrew and Alex; sister Betty Gorman; best friend and special nephew Bill Burton; special nephews: Wayne White, Bob Peddigrew and Gary Gorman; sisters-in-law: Betty Owens, Jean Simmons and Edith Halfyard (Cecil); brothers-in-law: Freeman (Nita), Ed (Brenda), Willie (Onslo) and Clifford (Joyce) Anstey; special friends: Ed Murphy and Leigh Connors; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, May 12, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Paul's Church, Newfoundland Drive. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
