Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Friday, May 9, 2008. Nora E. Crotty of St. John's. Predeceased by her husband Thomas Crotty; brothers: Jack Ryan, Frank Ryan, William Synyard and one sister Frances Whelan. Leaving to mourn one brother: Fergus Synyard and one sister-in-law: Mable Ryan; two very special nieces Nora Savoury and Kaitlyn Whelan as well as other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Special thank you to the staff of 5 North at the Health Sciences Centre as well to Dr. Tompkins and Dr. Maroun. Special thank you to the staff at the Palliative Care Unit. Your kindness will never be forgotten. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa's Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
