(Gerry) Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre after a brief illness on Sunday, May 11, 2008 age 49 years. Predeceased by brother David; father Gerald and mother and father-in-law Annie and Patrick Layman. Leaving to mourn his loving wife and best friend Sharon (nee Layman); his precious children Sharee ("his little girl") and Gerald ("his little Buddy"); mother Barbara; sister Cindy (Trevor Bradbury), Dale (John Murphy), Valerie (Llewelyn Howse); brother Mark; grandmother May Burry; brothers-in-law John McGrath, Gary Layman (Eileen) and Derm Layman (Sue); very close friends Diane and Bob Cahill and Sheila Dillon and family; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and co-workers of New Dock, St. John's Dockyard. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Tuesday 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
