Derrick Winston McCabe, 36, of Kemptown, passed away suddenly, Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, at home. Born in Truro, he was a son of Gary and E. Patricia (MacDonald) McCabe. Derrick had a great love for all of his family, and also loved his music, animals and a good game of crib. Besides his parents, Derrick is survived by brothers, John Gould (Sonya), Kemptown; Joe Gould (Wendy), Truro; special nieces, Alicia, Savannah, Hannah; special nephew, Jonas; many aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Lee and Doris MacDonald; paternal grandparents, Arnold and Mary McCabe; uncle, Eugene McCabe. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. today, Jan. 16, funeral service 4 p.m. Thursday, all in the Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, Rev. Brian DeLong officiating, with burial to be held in the Bible Hill Cemetery, Bible Hill. A reception will then follow in the funeral home.
