Dorothy “Ruth” Cox, 60, Dean, passed away peacefully at home on Nov. 11, 2007. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late John and Gladys (Johnson) Creelman. She was a thoughtful, caring person, always putting others first. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by husband Daniel W.; daughters, Kimberley (Lindsay Muise), Brookfield; Pamela (Mark) Bowser, Lantz; grandsons A.J. and Benjamin Bowser; brothers George (Dianne), Hilden; Jim (Marilyn), British Columbia; Ray (Marg), Newton Mills; sister Marg (Harry), Ottawa; sister-in-law Betty Creelman, Newton Mills; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Jackie. Cremation has taken. Visitation will be Wednesday, 7 to 9 p.m. and funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, both in Sharon Presbyterian Church, Dean, Rev. Gary Burrill officiating. Burial to follow in Dean Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the ALS Society of Nova Scotia. Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Co-operative, Upper Musquodoboit.
