Ernest McRae "Bud" Cavanaugh, 83, Upper North River, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born Dec. 27, 1924 in Bible Hill, he was a son of the late Henry and Olive (McRae) Cavanaugh. Bud spent his working years as a woodsman. He enjoyed going to exhibitions and especially enjoyed the horses. He enjoyed going for long drives around Truro and the many surrounding areas. Bud is survived by his sister, Margaret (Blair) McNutt, Debert; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Gladys McNutt, Marion and Jean Cavanaugh; brothers, Muir, Lloyd, Harry, Earl, Ira, Willis and Robert in infancy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, where the funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, Reverend David Lutes officiating.
