Amelia (Millie) Wagstaff (Cashin), Bedford, N.S. went home to God on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Scotchtown, Cape Breton, Millie was the daughter of the late John D. and Katherine (Gillis) Cashen. Millie graduated from the Halifax Infirmary and worked as an RN until her retirement in 1986. Millie is survived by her daughter Elizabeth; grandchildren, Lisa (Terry) Taylor, Tony Burns, John Gilbert Lynk; great grandchildren, Charles and Patrick Taylor, Wayne and Tyler Burns; brother, John (Hattie) Cashin; many nieces and nephews. Millie was predeceased by her loving husband Charles Gordon Wagstaff; sisters, Mary Comfort, Agatha Zorn, Catherine Cryan; brother, Michael Cashen. No visitation by request. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Prince Street, Truro with Father Joseph Christensen officiating. A reception to follow. Family flowers only. Interment in Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. The family would like to thank Dr. D.
