Annie Isabel MacKenzie, 93, of Truro, passed away Monday, April 9, 2007 in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in Brule Point, she was a daughter of the late Laughlin and Mary Belle (Langille) MacKinnon. She was an adherent of St. John's Anglican Church, Truro and a former member of St. Mary's Guild. Ann was an avid card player and gifted at sewing and knitting. She enjoyed bowling and bingo. For many years she enjoyed the summers at the cottage in Seafoam. She is survived by a son Gerald (Louise) of Bible Hill; five grandchildren, Jamie (Wendy), Layton (Ann),%C2%A0Leah (Dale), Glenn (Janet), Greg (Darla); 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sister Bunny (Frank) Mason of Stellarton; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Earl (Brick); sister, Reta Deagle; brother, James MacKinnon (World War II). Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, both in the Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro. Rev. Lori Ramsey will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Terrace Hill Cemetery, Truro. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
