Arthur Gardener Kennedy, 90, Truro and formerly of Upper Stewiacke, passed away on July 23, 2007 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Upper Stewiacke, he was a son of the late Earl and Minnie (Thorpe) Kennedy. In Upper Stewiacke, he was well known for his love of vehicles and care of them. He was a good husband and loving father, and will be sadly missed by daughter, Jacqueline, Truro; brothers, George, Frank, Johnnie; sister, Mary Mowatt, all of Upper Stewiacke. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Helen Power; brother, Roy; sisters, Hazel Brown, Bertha Kennedy and Margaret Fisher. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke, Rev. Natalie Buchanan-Rutherford officiating. Following the service, friends are invited to the family home in Truro. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Colchester Regional Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care.
