Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on May 13, 2008, Rev. Fred Hickman, aged 86 years, Retired United Church Minister. Predeceased by his first wife Violet (1978), as well as brothers: Ben, Reuben, George and Jack; sister Elsie. Leaving to mourn his wife of 28 years, Jean; daughter Donna (Bruce); sister Clara; step-children: Douglas (Shirley), Maxine (Wallace) and Wayne (Agnes). Also leaving to mourn eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of St. Patrick's Mercy Home. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m Funeral service will take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
