Carol Viola Fraser, 71, of Truro, passed away on Dec. 24, 2008 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Lockeport, she was a daughter of the late John and Kathleen (Locke) Buchanan. Carol was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Truro. A dedicated teacher, she taught in Truro Junior High School for 25 years. Carol is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Donald R. Fraser; sisters Valerie (Ronald) Wolfe, West Port LeHebert; Patricia (Bill) Copeland, Dover, New Hampshire; Mary Stuart, Lydgate; brothers Allen (Marilyn) Buchanan, Onslow Mountain; David (Mayola) Buchanan, Lockeport. She will also be greatly missed by many cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Dec. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. Funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church, 759 Prince St., Truro, with Rev. Andy Crowell officiating. Reception to follow in Memorial Hall. Interment at a later date in the Bible Hill Cemetery. Family flowers only by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Colchester Regional Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice.
