Catherine Anne Graham, 47, Lower Sackville, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2008, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born Feb. 3, 1961, in Barrie, Ont., she was a daughter of Douglas and Mary (Buckley) Murchie, Lower Sackville. Cathy graduated from Three Oaks High School, Summerside, P.E.I. (1979) and attended College of Cape Breton and Moncton Community College marketing program (1981). Upon graduating she was employed at Johnson Unifund Insurance for 20 years and most recently with Bell & Grant Insurance, Halifax. She was an avid reader and had an amazing memory for detail and will always be remembered by those who knew her for her hearty, infectious laugh. She was extremely proud of her two daughters and bestowed many a good virtue upon them while watching them grow into two fine independent young ladies. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters, Meghan, and Melissa, all of Lower Sackville; sister, Annette (Dan) Devine, Lower Sackville; mother-in-law, Pauline Graham, Truro; sister-in-law, Paulette (John) Read, Calgary; brothers-in-law, Wayne (Cindy) and Mike Graham, both of Upper Stewiacke; aunt, Julia Babin, Lower Sackville; aunt, Doreen (Eldon) Hickey, Jacquet River, N.B., uncle, Louis Buckley, Belleville, Ont.; nephews, Kristopher Gills, Toronto; Kory Gillis, Lower Sackville. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Jack Graham and uncle, Clement Babin. Visitation will take place Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. in T.K. Barnard Funeral Home, 527 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, with a memorial service on Friday, May 23 at 2 p.m. in St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 4 Beaverbank Rd., Lower Sackville, Father Johni Matthew officiating. Interment to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Cathy participated and supported the Run For the Cure for many years. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial donations in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Lung Association of Nova Scotia or St. John Vianney Church, Lower Sackville.
