Colleen M. Magee, 87, of Truro, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008 at home. Born in Lapland, Lunenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Horis and Grace (Hatt) Lavender. She was an original resident of 370 Robie Street, Truro. She worked at Stanfield's Ltd., Truro and also fostered several children. She became very close to the Livingston family who she also worked for. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She is survived by sister-in-law Sylvia Lavender and several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Charles Magee, brothers Freeman, Cyril, Raymond, Ronald, Robert, Carl and a sister Mary. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. prior to funeral service at 11 a.m. all in the Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro. Dr. Brian Ross will officiate with burial to follow in Seaside Cemetery, Brooklyn, Queen's County. Donations in Colleen's memory may be made to a charity of choice.
