As a young man he became interested in cars and trucks and this was his life-long passion. In the early 1950s he drove a log truck for Creelman’s in Otterbrook, followed by a stint operating a bulldozer for Ed Creelman of Brookfield Box Company. He shared many hilarious stories of his time spent there. He started driving a milk truck for Ross Ervin of Fort Ellis and in the early 1960s bought the business. He formed his own business C.E. Fisher Transport Ltd. in 1962 and worked diligently for 30 years, retiring in 1992. His two sons Dale and Ricky drove trucks for their dad for many years. Curtis was a member of Knox United Church, serving as a church elder for many years, and as a member of the ministry and personnel committee.
