David Charles Brown, 39, of Kemptown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at the VG Site, QE ll Halifax. He was born Sept. 7, 1969 in Truro. He was employed by Research in Motion in Halifax as a Blackberry Technician. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces with the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery for four years in Lahr, Germany. He is survived by his wife Traci (Wilson); daughter Abbey Lynn, at home; father Leo Brown, Kemptown; mother Wendy (Tooker) Brown Truro; sister Tricia (Brown) Freeland and her daughter Anna, Truro; maternal grandmother Edna Tooker; in-laws John and Sheila (Blackmore) Wilson, Kemptown; sister-in-law Stacy (Corey) Langille and their children, Sadie, Mila and Jase. Dave will be remembered for his computer passion, his will to live, his love of family and friends, most especially his daughter Abbey. A celebration of Dave’s life will be held Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Kemptown Community Hall at 7 p.m. No visitation or flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Abbey Lynn Brown Trust Fund (Royal Bank) or to the Canadian Cancer Society, through the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro.
