Dawn Elizabeth Murray, RN, 71, Tatamagouche, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 at home. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Ella (Williams) Murray. She is survived by her daughter, Sara Cameron and her daughter, Jordan, both of Calgary; son, Donald Cameron, Vancouver; daughter, Marnie Frandsen and her daughters, Britt and Jana, all of Vancouver; sister, Pam Thompson, Toronto, nephew, Chris Thompson, Windsor, Ont.; niece, Lauren Thompson and her son, Scott, both of Toronto. A graduate of the Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing 50 years this past spring, she worked in many hospitals and nursing homes in Nova Scotia before retirement. Dawn had a keen interest in music. She was a member of many choirs through the years and was a professional contralto soloist in both Halifax and Toronto. A memorial service will be held, 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12 in Sharon United Church, Tatamagouche, Rev. Sandra Carruthers officiating. Interment will be in Tatamagouche Cemetery.
