Donald Elmer Rae, 79, Onslow, passed away Nov. 15, 2007 at home. Born on Nov. 17, 1927 in Millsville, he was a son of the late William and Florence (Bell) Rae. Donald was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Marie Rae; son, Donald (Cheryl), Truro, Karl, Calgary, Alberta; daughters, Bev Rae (Tim), Irene Shipley (Louis), Shirley Hennigar (Larry), Judy Camm (Donald), all of Truro; Betty Bay (Warren), Lois Armstrong (Bruce), both of Vancouver Island, B.C.; Heather Walinga (Ray), Calgary, Alta.; grandchildren, Sarah, Jason, Corina, Mark, Greg, Chelsea, Amy, Holly, Emma, Shea, Jessica, Peggy, Paula, Patricia, Kaitlyn, Courtney, Alex, Claudia; great-grandchildren, Colton, Jordon, Nicholas, Keera, Ember, Austin, Lucas, Logan, Jacob; brothers, Elwood, Vincent; sisters, Florence, Violet. He was predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth, Katherine, Frances, Alice and Vera in infancy; brothers, William, Martin, George and MacLean. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St. with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. Interment in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley.
