Doreen Shirley Clark, of Brunswick Street, Truro, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 19, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Hector and Loretta (McCarthy) Geddes. She worked at Truro Wholesalers and for many years was a medical secretary at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, radiology department, until her retirement. She was past-president of the PC Women's Association, associate member of the Truro Curling Club, First Baptist Church, Truro, and the church women's group. She is survived by son, Darrell Lorette (Mary), Valley; daughters, Sonya Lorette (Greg), Canning; Juliette (Doug) Pemberton, Waterville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Helen Wamboldt, Truro; brother-in-law, Murray Clarke, Moncton; sister-in-law, Roxie Geddes, Bible Hill; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Claire; sisters, Georgina, Viola, Phyllis; brothers, Morris, Fred, Frank, Walter, Robert. Visitation will be held 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, prior to memorial service at 2 p.m., all in the Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, Rev. Gordon Delaney and Rev. Sharron Reykdal officiating, with interment to follow in the Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. A reception will then follow at the family home. Immediate family flowers only.
