(nee Slaney) Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, Esther M. Spearns (nee Slaney) in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her husband Dermott Spearns; father and mother Richard and Charlotte Slaney; brother John Slaney. Leaving to mourn daughter Marie; son-in-law Brian and granddaughter Katelyn; also many other family and friends. Resting at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, St. Lawrence, NL with visiting hours from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and then from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral Mass to be held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church, St. Lawrence on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at a time to be announced. Interment to follow at Mount Cecilia Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Lawrence.
