Elaine Winifred (Jones) Maxwell, 70, passed away peacefully after a courageous fight with cancer on July 28, 2007 in Toronto, ON. She is survived by mother, Willena Jones, Truro NS, daughters Lynda Grosse (Blair), Vancouver BC, Angela Stevens (Fred), Toronto, sons David Jr. (Lorraine), Middle Musquodoboit NS, Dana, Thunder Bay, adopted daughter Rose Byron, Toronto, grandchildren, Danny, Ramon, Kirsten, Schavonne, Danielle, Tania-Lynn, Khashanta, Mirrah, Stephanie, Derek, Jessica, Tamara, great grandchildren, Erick, Nathyn, Karmyn, sisters Marie, Scarborough, Wilma, Halifax NS, Janis, Burnaby BC, Luella, Lynn and Debby all of Halifax, NS, brothers Burnley (Sharon), Halifax NS, Roger, Burnaby BC, and many, many relatives including aunt, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by best friend, Lynval Blake, Toronto. She was predeceased by her father Elmer Jones, brother Alvin Jones, brother-in-law Hubert Francis. She will be remembered for her loving kindness to everyone she knew. Visitation at Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2007. Funeral Service will be held at Zion United Baptist Church, 454 Prince St., Truro NS, on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007 at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Robie St. Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
