Ella (Fraser) Galloway

The passing of Ella M. (Fraser) Galloway of Fredericton, N.B., occurred on Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on Nov. 12, 1916 in Truro, N.S., she was the daughter of the late John R. and Mary Fraser. She was a wonderful homemaker for her husband and family, and took great pride in her home where all were welcome. As well as being a great cook, she loved to knit. She was a member of Nashwaaksis United Church, past member of the United Church Women and past member of the Fredericton Heart Support Group. She was blessed with many wonderful friends and neighbours. Ella is survived by her daughter Judy and son-in-law Paul Thompson of Hamtown Corner; daughter-in-law Linda Galloway of Stratford, P.E.I.; grandchildren Andrew (Sherri) Galloway, Jennifer (Wade) Pineau, Jesse and Julie Thompson; great-grandchildren, Ava Pineo and Lukas Galloway. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Shirley Dickson of Tide Head, N.B.; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, two sisters and two brothers, she is predeceased by her husband James A. (Jim) Galloway; son Rick Galloway and granddaughter Jaime Paula Thompson. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr., Fredericton, N.B. on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating. Pallbearers for the service are Paul Thompson, Jesse Thompson, Andrew Galloway and Wade Pineau. Interment will take place at the Douglas Rural Cemetery.
