Elta Irene Williams (nee Swinamer), 77, Onslow, passed away peacefully at home in Onslow on Aug. 31, 2007. Born in Three Mile Plains, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Wilson) Swinamer. Elta was an active member of the Onslow United Church UCW. She is survived by son, Richard (Cathy), Chester Basin; daughter, Sandra (Gordon) Allen, Valley; grandchildren, Daniel, Robert, Heather, Shaun, Philip, Raymond; step grandson, Brian (Susan); step great-grandson, Jonathan; brothers, Walter, Emerson (Sonny), Kenneth; sisters, Kaye and Marilyn. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert; sister, Barb; grandson, Allen. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 3 from 7 to 9 p.m.; memorial service on Tuesday at 2 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Gerald Kerr officiating. Interment in Onslow Island Cemetery. Family flowers only.
