Ernest Edwin “Ernie” Wood, 80, Bible Hill, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008 in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born July 24, 1927 in South Rawdon, he was a son of the late Lemuel and Marjorie (Parker) Wood. Ernie worked most of his life in the lumbering business. He loved harness racing and riding around from place to place on his electric bike. Ernie is survived by his brother, Ross and his companion, Janet, Bible Hill; sister, Maxine Kelly, Ardoise, Hants County; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Evelyn in infancy and Pearl Richards. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro. Ernie’s family invite you to attend a visitation and reception in his honour to be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
