Entered into rest on Thursday, May 15, 2008. Cecil Maxwell Strickland, age 77, retired Communications Officer with Revenue Canada. Predeceased by his parents, Naomi (Feltham) and Andrew Strickland; sister and brother-in-law Winnifred and Lloyd Pinsent. Left with loving memories, his wife Joan (Perry) Strickland; daughters: Cecily Strickland (Noel Murphy), Carol Strickland (Gorden Cook) and Jennifer Strickland; son Barry Strickland (Rachel Jenni); grandchildren: Camille and Keir Strickland-Murphy; nieces Jennifer Pinsent-Barnes (Marvin) and Lori (Pinsent) Lee (Greg), Joan's children Mona Perry and her son John Hillier and Christopher Perry. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitation on Friday, May 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.; Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service will take place at Wesley United Church, Patrick Street on Saturday, May 17 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
