EDITH- MARY (Smith) Trusty (nee Hilker) Passed away peacefully on April 3rd, 2008 at the age of 87 years. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Floyd Trusty, by her children Deanna (Robert) Loewen, Edwin Smith, Deryl (Linda) Trusty, Bryan (Sandra) (their children Dahinda, Iaan, Penny), Aurrell and Mary Trusty (their children Wade, Moreen, Bonnie, Terra). Edith will be remembered by her grandchildren Shawn (Kyla) Loewen, Desiree Trusty (Dean Currie), Bryce, Sheridan and Regan Trusty, Graham Trusty, step grand-son Desi Trusty (his children Devon, Brittany) and also her great grand-sons Joel and Benjamin Loewen. she is survived by her sisters Rosia Vallet and Shirley (Victor) Martens, her brother William Hilker, her sisters-in-law Pearl Brough, Rosie Aug, and Myrtle Hollowell. Numerous relatives, nieces and nephews from the Hilker, Smith, and Trusty families survive her. Edith was predeceased by her parents Justin and Adamina Hilker, her first husband Clarence Smith, her brothers Alvin, James, Edwin and Clarence, her sister Bernice McKinney, her brothers- in- law Joe Vallet and Russ McKinney, her sisters in law Loraine Hilker and Isabell Hilker, and from Floyd trusty's family Edith was predeceased by Orville Aug, Jack and Dollie Hollowell, Harold Hollowell, Lawrence Brough and Joyce Peters. Visitation will take place Wednesday April 9, 2008 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Mackenzie Funeral Chapel 763-8488. Funeral and burial will take place in Steller, Alberta. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Herb Bassett home for the excellent care given to Edith. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society or charity of choice in Edith's name.
