SMITH- IRENE Ione It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Ione Smith (Woloszyn); a dear wife, mother, grandmother and sister at the age of 73. Irene was born November 28, 1934 at Cookson. Irene grew up, lived and worked on the family farm until she met the love of her life, her dancing partner, Harold Smith. They married in Cookson on June 30, 1962. They resided at the Smith farm in Deer Ridge. Irene is survived by her loving husband- Harold; Her daughter- Valerie (Michael) and children- Gareth, Nathan and Stephanie; Her son- Vaughn (Laurie) and children- Jake, Avery and Rylan; Also Charmaine and daughter Danielle. Her sisters; Mary (Clare) Anderson, Margaret (Lloyd) Clarke, Violet (Allan) Oreel, Allison (Toby) Coleman, Gladys (Arnold) Selander, Betsy Williams. Sharon Woloszyn, Debbie (Jim) Juker; Brothers in law- Al Ungarian, Gordon (Greta) Smith and Foster brother- Bob (Ruby) Albers.And Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by: A son Frederick and daughter Colleen; Mother and Father- Annie and Stanley Woloszyn; Mother and Father in Law- Joyce and Jack Smith; Sister Jenny Ungarian; brother in law; Larry Williams; infant brother; Joey and infant sister Leona. Irene loved to curl, dance, play cards especially with Allan and play bingo. She was a member of the C.W.L. and thoroughly enjoyed her abundant garden and numerous family get togethers. Her grandchildren were the center of her world and were her pride and joy. Her abiding faith in god gave her strength and courage and finally peace. The funeral will be held Thursday , April 10 2PM St. Agatha's Catholic Church Shellbrook. Interment Mayview Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Diabetes Society and Heart and Stroke Fund.
