DAUTREMONT - It is with great sorrow that the family of Charles Anthony Dautremont of Prince Albert, announce that on Saturday, April 19, 2008 their father, grandfather, and spouse passed away at the age of 91. Charles was born October 19, 1916 on the family farm near Wauchope, SK. He went to Middleburg School and completed by correspondence his grade XI. He married Louise Van Heukelom August 8, 1946. They lived on the family farm where he farmed for 31 years. Charles became a select seed grower in 1965, growing the newest varieties of durum wheat and operating his own seed cleaning plant. Over the years Charles operated a snow plow and kept the roads open in winter for many of his neighbors and the school unit. He was a member of the Wauchope Wheat Pool for several years, Saint Francis Regis Church Board, and a member of the Agriculture Committee of the RM #32 till his retirement. He was also involved in the BPO Elks for many years. In 1978 the farm was sold and they retired to Redvers in 1979, late moving to Prince Albert in 1983. Many happy years were spent travelling through Canada, the US and Mexico. Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years Louise, son Allan; twin daughters Lorraine( Ron Johnson), and Eileen (Owen Olsen); grandchildren Michael Olsen, Ian (Kim) Olsen, Raina Johnson (Michael Laird) and Kristen Johnson (Brian Moyer). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice. Prayer services will be held Thursday April 24, 2008 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at MacKenzie Funeral Home 130-9th St. E. 763-8488. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday April 25, 2008 at 10:30am at the St. Joseph's Church 260-25th St. E.
