(nee Norman) It is with great sadness that the family of Gert Morrissey announce her passing on Friday, May 16, 2008, aged 81 years. She leaves to mourn her loss, husband Edward; daughter Mikki (Mary Ann) Spracklin (Gerald); sons: Edward (Veronica) and Robert (Susan); grandchildren: Damien and Kate Spracklin, Mackenzie and Miranda Morrissey; sister Louise King; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of 4 West at St. Clare's Hospital for their compassion and care and to nieces Beatrice Garland (Walter), Helen King (Edison), Carolyn Masters (Lee) and sister-in-law Merlie Morrissey (Pat), for always staying in touch. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday, May 18, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. No flowers by request.
