WOZNIAK - Walter Joseph, late of White Star August 8, 1918 - April 24, 2008 It is with our deepest sorrow that the family of Walter Wozniak announce his passing on Thursday, April 24, 2008. Walter was born in Poland on August 8, 1918 and immigrated to Canada in 1927 with his parents Frank and Nellie Wozniak. Frank and Nellie farmed in the Honeymoon District. In August 1945 Walter married Eugenia (Jennie) Paluk and moved to the White Star area where he resided until 2006. Due to Walter's poor health he became a resident of the Herb Bassett Home where he resided till his passing. Walter is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jennie; sons Terry (Alice), Richard, Don (Linda), Glenn (Louie); daughters Elaine (Bob) Stefanski and Brenda (Doug) Gibson; fifteen grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; his sister Mary (Alex) Dowhay; his special nieces Jackie (Graham) Holland and Shirley Simon; his sisters and brothers-in-law Mary (Emile) Sarrazin, Rose Cartier, Anne (Edward) Krip, Berniece (Tony) Polowniak and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Frank,; mother Nellie; brother John (Joyce); sister Josie (Jim); father and mother-in-law Mike and Valerie Paluk; a special niece Colleen; special nephew Dennis; brothers-in-law John and Walter Paluk and infant sister-in-law Ann Paluk. Walter farmed for many years in the White Star area, he also worked at Burns Foods for many years. When Walter retired he spent many of the happiest hours puttering around his yard. He enjoyed fishing trips with his sons and enjoyed all the family gatherings. He enjoyed his time spent with brother-in-law Tony during the last years at home. Donations will be accepted and directed to a cause dear to Walter's Heart in lieu of other tributes. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 - 4th Avenue West, Prince Albert, SK, with the celebrant Reverend Father Maurice Fiolleau.
