SKOTHEIM - Donna Lynn (nee Strube). It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donna on May 3, 2008 in Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Donna was born June 28, 1954 to Gordon and Adeline Strube (nee Nelson) of Deer Ridge. In 1959 the family moved to Holbein. After school days were over in Shellbrook she traveled a while, then took a business class in Prince Albert. She then worked in Prince Albert at various jobs until 1974 when she started at Woodland Enterprises where she worked until 1986. She then started at the Pulp Mill in 1990 and worked there until its closing April 2006. Donna married Peder Skotheim of Spruce Home on November 7, 1987. They have one son Matthew. Donna was so proud of Matt, he has always excelled at volleyball and now plays for the University of Saskatchewan team "The Huskies". Donna was very supportive of the St. Mary Marauders and the Smashing Bananas for which she was dubbed "The Cheerleader". Donna had an amazing sense of humor, her quick wit, one liners and ready smile never failed to attract new friends. Donna was a talented lady and there wasn't much she could not accomplish. Donna loved her yearly trip to Vegas where she would always come home with new e-mail friends. Donna spent her summers at Bell's Beach where anyone with an instrument was welcome to the jam sessions around the fire.
