September 17, 1928 – May 15, 2008. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, May 15, 2008, Edith (Peach) Sooley of Heart's Delight, aged 79 years. Predeceased by husbands, Bert Peach and Chrispus Sooley, parents Leonard and Caroline Legge and daughter Cynthia. Leaving to mourn five daughters: Marilyn (Lloyd) King, Carbonear; Carol (Ray) Frampton, Victoria; Dianne (Gil) King, Victoria; Janet (Ches) Parsons, Heart's Delight; Dot (Bryon) MacDonald, Lenore, Manitoba; also three stepsons: Howard (Christine) Sooley, Heart's Delight; Carl (Donna) Sooley, St. John's; Jerry (Robin) Sooley, Cambridge, Ontario; three stepdaughters: Daphne (Wilfred) Jackson, Cavendish; Sandra (John) Warren, Heart's Content; and Brenda (Clarence) Chislett, Islington. Also lovingly remembered by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 14 step-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren, as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Bethel United Church, Heart's Delight on Saturday, May 17 from 4 p.m. until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from Bethel United Church, Heart's Delight on Monday, May 19 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Bethel United Church Cemetery.
