KORNAGA - Michael Murray Shane March 13, 1971 - December 12, 2008 It is with immense grief that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son, husband, father, brother and best friend, Michael Murray Shane Kornaga at the age of 37 on December 12th, 2008. Michael was born on March 13th, 1971 in Prince George, BC to Murray and Dolly (Dunbar) Kornaga. He was raised in Prince Albert where he attended Queen Mary Elementary School and Carlton Comprehensive High School excelling both in academics and in forming close friendships. Everybody loved Mikey! After graduating from school, Michael obtained his private pilot's licence, multi-engine and commercial pilot's licence. He loved to fly and took every opportunity to get his family and friends up in the air with him. Soon the Kornaga tradition of being a member of the Iron Workers Union became reality and Michael prospered in his career as a journeyman electrician. Most of all, Michael knew how to live life to the fullest. In the past 37 years, Michael lived more than most people do in a lifetime. Work was easily set aside to golf, fish, hunt, quad, skidoo and play poker and he loved to kick back with his close buddies over a beer and talk about all the exciting things happening in their lives. Camping was Michael's favourite summer past-time. He spent a great deal of time fishing at Tobin Lake where the family would all come together and make memories while sitting around the campfire having a fish fry and talking about the big catch of the day. Michael truly lived for today. Awaiting Michael in heaven are his two babies Emily and Jackson; grandma and grandpa Dunbar; auntie Rose and uncle Joe Zilkowski; uncle Lyle Grunerud; grandma and grandpa Kornaga and uncle Ludwig Kornaga. Michael leaves to mourn his beloved wife Tammy (Cowan) Kornaga; two precious daughters Lacey and Kaileigh; special dog Chewy; parents Murray and Dolly Kornaga; father and mother-in-law Waynne and Darlene Cowan; sister, Kathy (Pete Gilmour); niece Nicole; great niece Brooklyn; nephew Shane; sister Karen (Lindon) Potts and their children Koltan and Klayton; honorary sister Beverly Whitford and her children Emily and Daniel; brother Dennis (Charlene) Kornaga; sisters Colleen (Rick) Criss and LJ Kornaga along with their families; sister-in-law Tracy (Everett) Bedard and their children Rebecca and Brooklyn; brother-in-law Terry (Celine) Cowan and their children Alyssa and Kendra; great grandma Matilda Gaura; auntie Wynnie Grunerud; cousins Danny, Julie, Kim, Darren and their families; uncle Danny and Wava Dunbar; auntie Kay Vickaryous and cousin Elaine and Lawrence Rospad and family. Michael was a kind and loving man. He loved his girls more than life. He could not wait until the girls were old enough to join him on the quad and on fishing trips. He was loved by all and all loved him dearly. He will be truly missed and we love you dearly Michael! In lieu of other tributes, donations can be made to Lacey and Kaileigh Kornaga's trust fund account at the Conexus Credit Union in Prince Albert, SK.
