MEIKLE- Delena Christina (Swain) July 20, 1943 - December 25, 2008 Delena Christina (Swain) Meikle was born on July 20th, 1943 in Davis SK and she passed away peacefully on December 25, 2008 at the Victoria Union Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. She was the youngest daughter of William & Frieda (Bell) Swain. She was predeceased by her partner of 33 years Steve Kovac; her parents William & Frieda (Bell) Swain; three brothers Levi (Lee), Robert (Bob) and William (Bill) Swain. She is survived by her son Desi Swain & his family; his wife Gail, sons Nicholas & Maxwell; her three sisters & their families Winnifred (Tom) Rindal, Dorothy Merkowsky all of Prince Albert, Freda Rae of Canoe, BC and many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Dee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister & friend she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank Dr. James, nurses & staff on 5th floor for the kind and compassionate care they gave her. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations in Dee`s memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, PO Box 12013, Stn BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 2L3 or the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 - 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Gray's Funeral Chapel, 575 - 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating.
