ADAMKO - Edward "Ed" Peter July 3, 1934 - January 10, 2009 Edward Peter Adamko was born on July 3, 1934 and suddenly passed away in the comfort of his own home on January 10, 2009 surrounded by his family. Ed spent his early years working in Alberta constructing bridges and building homes. He then moved back to Saskatchewan where he met and married his wife Helen of 49 years and started farming with his father and brother and later his son. He was very passionate about politics, the Ukraine Catholic Church, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. His life's passions were farming, his grandchildren, the game of pool and Kaiser, dancing and his animals. Ed was always happy and willing to help his fellow neighbors. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and his special canine friend Harley. Ed is survived by his loving wife Helen (Horodyski); his children Debbie Davis (Dale Ward) & their children Savannah (Jamill Fontaine), Ryan & George, Larry Adamko (Leah Smith) & their children A.J., Austyn, Brittney & Karlyn, Della (Sid) Dearing & their children Jason (Denise Mans), Amie & Samantha, Diane (Philip) Lavoie & their children Danielle & Justin; his mother Gertie Adamko; his brothers Ronald (Pat) Adamko and Jim (Helen) Adamko and many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his father John Adamko and his granddaughter Jocelynn Lavoie. May He Rest In Peace. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at St. George's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 770 - 14th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with celebrant Reverend Father Ivan Nahachewsky. Private Family Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 - 8th Street East, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5.
