MARIE MARGUERITTE 'ADRIENNE' WHITE 'Memories Carry us Through, As The Angels Have Carried You' It is with great sadness but also a sense of peace, we announce the passing of Adrienne White on January 23rd, 2009 at St. Ann's Home in Saskatoon. Adrienne was born on June 12th, 1923 in Zenon Park, SK. She was the fourth child of Anna and Napoleon Valois. She married Maurice McCrea on November 15th, 1943. Maurice died in WW2 on February 25th, 1945. He was buried in Europe. She married Frank White on December 27th, 1949 and was divorced in September, 1975. Adrienne is survived by her son, Doug White (Gwen) and their children, Chad (Laura) and his son Austin, Robin (Andrea) and their daughter Justus; her son, Larry White (Denise), and his children Justin (Sancha) Kalob and Kylie, Jeff (Nadine) and Dominique, Kim (Derek); her daughter, Jeannette (Vance) Cornish and their children Leigha (Nick) Illman, Allison (Eric); brother, Clem Valois (Marie Ange); sisters, Bertha Choquette and Laurette (Eugene) Casavant; sister-in-laws, Alice Valois, Myrle Dunkley, Lillian Brown, Nell Roberton and Norma White as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Adrienne was predeceased by her first husband, Maurice in 1945; her parents, Napoleon (1957), Anna (2000); second husband, Frank (2002); sisters, Henriette (1919), Blanche (1924), Margaret (1940), Jeanne (1961) and her husband Harven (1996); brothers, Arthur (1926), Wilfrid (2007), Laurent (1997) and his wife Berengere (1986), Urbain (1956) and Felix (1938). Adrienne stayed home to raise her children and had a spotless garden and home. She later went out to work at Robinsons store and McLeods . She travelled all of Western Canada by car, Eastern Canada and Eastern States by bus, to Europe to visit the gravesite of Maurice, also China, Jamaica, Florida, Greece, Egypt. In recent years the fondest memories were of the weddings of her grandchildren, the most recent being that of Nick and Leigha in Stratford, Ontario in 2007. Her keen sense for taking our money in Buy A Card. Adrienne moved from Tisdale to Prince Albert in 1990, into Good Shepherd in 2002 and taught the ladies there to play Buy A Card. She moved to Saskatoon in 2002 to spend more time with Larry and Denise. She was diagnosed with severe dementia in January, 2008. Mom instilled strong religious and moral beliefs and leaves us many valuable treasures in the afghans and paintings that she created for us. Her arthritis in later years did not allow her to do her knitting but did not stop her from taking our money in cards. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc. of Sask. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 27th at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel at St. Ann's Home (2910 Louise Street) with Rev. Father Patrick McCoy as the celebrant.
