ALEXANDER BERNARD WALLACE It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Alexander "Barney" on Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Barney was born on March 5, 1925. He was predeceased by his infant son Thomas Keith in 1956 and his daughter Sherry in 2003. Barney is survived by his loving family: his wife Ellen; his son Doug and daughter-in-law Suzanne of Jasper, AB; his son Murray of Chilliwack, BC; his son-in-law Brian of Prince Albert and granddaughter Kelly of Prince Albert as well as sister-in-law; many nieces, nephews and friends. Barney served in the Canadian Army during the war. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Germany until he was demobilized, at which time he joined the RCAF. Barney and Ellen were married on February 28, 1948 and traveled across Canada many times with the Air Force. They retired in Chilliwack in 1970 and moved to Prince Albert in 1992. At Barney's request no funeral service will be held and he will be buried at the family plot at the Sarcee Butte Cemetery, Ghost Pine district near Three Hills, AB.
