Grant, Anna Gertrude, age 81, of Abercrombie, passed away Friday, March 9, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Rogers Hill, she was a daughter of the late John and Etta (Rae) Douglas. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow, where she was an active worker and was a member of the Catherine Mair Society and the AMS. She was a member and past Noble Grand of Golden Link Rebekah Lodge. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Peter; sons, Doug (Shannon); Scott (Donna), both of Abercrombie; grandchildren: Melanie (Jeff Powell), Amy (Jeff Hennigar), Jackie (Curtis Frost) and Joshua. She was predeceased by grandson, Jonathan Scott, sisters, Marjorie Heighton and Jean Johnson and brother, Eion. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow, with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in Abercrombie Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
