ONTARIO – Arthur Robert "Art" MacLeod, 54, of Oshawa, Ont., formerly of Avondale, Pictou Co., passed away peacefully February 12, 2008, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in New Glasgow, son of William and Ruth (Gosbee) MacLeod. Art worked at Michelin in Granton and was a longtime employee of General Motors in Oshawa. He was an avid golfer. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Carol (Melanson) formerly of Pomquet, sons: Daniel and Andrew; brother, Raymond (Irene); sisters: Florence (Donald) Sutherland; Beverly (Marty) Bourgeois; Frances (Jerome) MacDonald; Shirley (Scott) McLeod; Linda (David) MacLeod; Gloria (Ron) Walsh; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be in C.L. Curry Funeral Home, 135 College St., Antigonish, on Monday, February 18th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Burial in Kenzieville Cemetery at a later date.
